Babe Ruth World Series

Ahhh, it's like returning back home...green field, American flags, snowcones, fun music and the game of baseball! Doesn't get any better!!! Jason was invited to announce at the 13 year old Babe Ruth World Series held in Murray, Utah. I remember the days hosting our first Regionals in Utah. Unfortunately, since I had the surgery my time spent at the ball field was limited. Jason was fantastic and had the crowd involved with his wonderful voice and music. He worked many, MANY long hours and had an incredible time!!!

I had a chance to reunite with some very dear and special people! Awesome group of men and women running the Babe Ruth organization. The photo above is Leonard Hammer and I. Leonard is the Regional Commissioner. Grandma and Jordan tagged along to watch over me and enjoy a snowcone! It was a blast to visit with the umpires and reminisce the good old days at Bingham. I treasure these memories and watching my boys play baseball! Jordan loved the dirty field and hanging out at the ball park when she was little...now she doesn't care for the dirt as much but still loves to hang out...I don't think it's because of the snowcones anymore, perhaps all the boys!

The Wedding!

Meagan (who I adore and is marrying my brother next year) asked me to be a bridesmaid. Now this is big because I have never been in a wedding! Missy is also a bridesmaid along with Meagan's sister, Erin...I thought I found the perfect dress!
I think we would look HOT!!!

GALLSTONES

This a more accurate photo of my gallstones! At least this is what it felt like inside me! After months and months of eating no dairy, meats or breads (well just a little) and countless gall bladder attacks, I finally decided to have surgery. Well, I really never had a choice...my gall bladder was diseased and it was affecting my liver.

Before Skate Salt Lake, I had an ultrasound that confirmed the stones and the surgeon wanted it out asap (during the week of the competition)...we settled for the Tuesday after the competition, August 18th. Here I am happy...but not for long. That morning tests came back that I had a bladder infection and they needed to cancel the surgery.

After a few tears, (actually I was sobbing), the surgeon agreed it was too risky to wait another week.
It's finally my turn to the operating room.
Still waiting for my turn in the operating room...

I don't remember this photo, but how lucky am I to have my mom around. She extended her trip and is taking care of me!
Did it hurt? YES
I came home that evening and cuddled in my favorite quilt from Kathy...It's my comfort quilt.

2009 Skate Salt Lake

This year I was in charge of our local competition. Mom and Missy came to the rescue to help with just EVERYTHING!!!
Jordan finished 2nd overall but the great accomplishment was landing her double axel!

Everyone was exhausted when it was over. It was a fun event. Next event on the calendar is Regionals that we are hosting in October.

Busy, Busy Month!!!

OH, it's been a very busy month. We had a skater from Finland stay with us for two weeks. Her name is Hepu and she spoke English very well. We didn't do anything fun except skate!
Taylor's dog, BO often visited us!

Tanner's friend's dogs also visited us.

and then Mom came for a much needed visit to help me with Skate Salt Lake and my upcoming surgery for these....
