Christmas Eve

It was our first Christmas home in this house. We had not celebrated Christmas in Utah in over 9 years! It was wonderful to spend the holidays with our children as they are growing up fast!!!

The kids stayed up until 3:00 am and play Monopoly.

We also stayed up and watched "Little Women".

However, we deeply missed my Dad and wished my Mom and brother were with us!

2011 U.S. Junior Figure Skating Championships

This has been my project for many, many months!

I placed the bid over a year ago and spent the next 12 months planning, organizing, recruiting to welcome over 300 of the top Juvenile and Intermediate figure skaters in the country.

Karen McCauley (SLFS Vice President) and I getting the event ready!

The last day! Bob Weston (SLFS President) and myself during the Awards Ceremony. It was a successful event that involved the entire family. Jason announced, G-MA was the hospitality chair, Jordan skated in the opening ceremony, Tanner and Mo was involved with the Competitor's Party and much much more! It was a rewarding experience!!!

Getting Ready for Christmas

Mo came home from his last game of the season...(they lost) but he came home to Christmas Cheer!

It was fun to open the Christmas boxes. We have not decorated in over 6 years or least drag all the Christmas decorations out. It was going to be our first Christmas home in Utah for over 8 years! We decorated early because Jordan was competing in LA the end of November along with Thanksgiving and getting ready for Junior Championships!

Mo always comes in handy!

Jordan and Cordero competed in the Pacific Coast Sectional Championships November 9-13, 2010. Jordan didn't skate the way she wanted to but gained great experience. Cordero finished 4th and qualified for U.S. Figure Skating Championships.
Jordan came home and decided it was time to land some triples!

Sweet Victory against Montana

I love when I sit in the stands and Mo is on the field, he looks over his shoulder to find us.
I love after each game the family and fans walk onto the field to hug their players...Mo always gives us a kiss.
I love when the music plays, you sometimes can find Mo dancing on the field during warm ups.
I love after the game is over, he wants to come home...our home.
I love these boys...

The WETTEST Game EVER!

We returned home from California driving all day on Tuesday. We had not seen Mo for over a week, so he surprised us on Wednesday. We were then back on a football field on Saturday to watch Mo play in the WETTEST game EVER!!!
Seriously, it rained the entire game! Fortunately, we won!

I did something I thought I would never do...during the third quarter Mo trotted back to the locker room with two trainers. He did not seem hurt so I waited for him to return back to the field. Well, I waited and waited and waited. Finally, I couldn't wait any longer. I marched into the locker room to find out what was wrong with my Mo. He thought he had another concussion, so he was done playing....Mo is fine and will play next week.
BTW, their locker rooms are very messy!

She Made It!!!

On Sunday, Jordan placed 1st place in her short program! It was beautiful, clean, confident skating. One of my favorite moments was watching her skate her short program. Jordan was so excited! The next day she competed her long program and was the last skater of the entire event. (A very long wait.) She placed 4th in her freeskate with another clean performance and high GOE scores. Combining scores from her short and long she finished 3rd overall and will advance to the Pacific Coast Sectional in November at Culver City, California. The photo above is a new recognition program USFS organizes. All the skaters who receive 2's in their GOE's for any element is posted and receives recognition. She had the most in her group!
Tanner joined us with GMA!

They had a fun time together.
GMA and Jordan...GMA will also join us in Culver City!!!

Central Pacific Regionals

The rink is very cold, very loud, very busy! Jordan and I took a little walk and sat in a nice open area of grass. It was a beautiful sunny day.
She is skating great! Full of confidence and doing her job! She competes on Sunday and Monday. Jason used all the ice from our floor to give her an ice bath...(helps with sore muscles). She was smiling in this photo but shortly after she had a few tears. It stings after a few minutes!

Tanner and Jordan

Tanner joined us for Regionals. He lasted one day and then we took him to Grandma's!!!
It's nice to see them get along!

It's Time for Regionals...

...and we are off! We are leaving for the Central Pacific Regionals in Roseville, California. Jordan is doing very well and training hard! She skates Sunday and Monday. She needs to make the top 4 to advance to Sectionals!

The ORMSBY'S!!!

It's been over 12 years since we last saw Karen and Alvin Ormsby! We moved to the East Bay and then Utah and they moved back to Australia. The past month they moved back to Utah (Ogden to be exact). Whitney attends Weber and they joined us for their first college football game. Mo had a concussion and did not play but we had a great time reconnecting!
Weber also won!!!
