It's OFFICIAL...Taylor has his driver's license!!! He is so excited and proud to finally have his license and the trooper. What a wild ride raising him in his teens, it is an overwhelming feeling to watch him FINALLY have his license and car!
He finally earned the trooper that we bought three years ago. His girlfriend, Jasmine has already claimed "Shot Gun" and I am sure will decorate her side of the seat. She is so cute and just as excited as Taylor!
I left him with a full tank of gas and told him this is it! From here on out, you pay insurance, gas and any other expenses for this car. It's your baby!!!

It was a wonderful day spending it with Taylor. In someways I felt like I accomplished a huge milestone. Remember that first time driving without parents in the car??? Taylor earned his Eagle (family rule), paid his time doing stupid things (not a family rule), got his act together, bought a few bikes and walked MANY miles to work and school to FINALLY have this moment of driving away in his car...as a parent, it was worth it! Incredible feeling to watch him become an adult.

When is the next milestone? Sara's coming up on three months from the big one-six. She's been driving since Christmas with her permit, and we're taking a road trip next week for my parents' 50th anniversary -- can you believe it?? -- and she' anxious to get in some serious driving time on the freeway.
Like I need any more gray hairs.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You will appreciate the church's new policy on calling young men to be missionaries at age 16:
at that age, you can't teach them anything any more,
AND . . .
their mothers won't cry when they leave!
We hope the Quackenbushes survives Sara helping drive on their way back to the Bay Area. We can't wait to see them all.
